Private Venue Hire Fees: (Exclusive use)

Main Restaurant:
35 – 100 pax. $10.00 per head with a minimum of $1000.00 on weekdays, $1250 on Saturdays-

There is a minimum overall spend on a reception of the private hire of the Main Restaurant, including food and beverage, and venue hire and set up fee, of $6000.00 weekdays, $6500.00 on Saturdays.
This is exclusive of separate Ceremony Packages.

Summer House:
up to 35 pax: $10.00 per head with a minimum of $350.00 weekdays, $500.00 on Saturdays

Both venues:
Set up Fee: $5.00 per head includes: set up with white linen tablecloths, white damask serviettes, top quality cutlery and glassware.

Above fees do not include floral centerpieces for the tables, extra restaurant decor, flowers, balloons, special decor requirements, etc. These would be charged at extra rates, or clients can arrange for these themselves.

Elegant floral arrangements can be commissioned for dining tables from local florists.. Discuss options and costs with our Wedding & Functions Coordinator.

We are happy to recommend florists and decorators.

Menus

We are able to tailor menus to suit your taste, with vegetarian options also available. Please design your menu well in advance of your function.
The following menus are available for a minimum of 25. As all our set menu items are cooked to order, if you have over 45 guests we recommend you choose the Buffet menu option, please see: Buffet Menus. 

For smaller groups we recommend that you contact us in advance to design a set menu from our current à la carte selection. Sorry, no children under 5 except by special arrangement, unless booking Tamarind or the Summer House for exclusive use.

Mains

Char grilled Eggplant Stack with Roasted Pumpkin, Mushrooms, Bell Peppers, Cream Cheese, served on spiced couscous with Balsamic dressing and Tomato Chilli coulis (Vegetarian)

Roasted Vegetable Filo Parcel with assorted roast vegetables and mushrooms, with tomato dill cream, served on taro leaf puree with Basmati Rice (Vegetarian)

Ocean Catch of the Day (Normally Swordfish or Mahi Mahi Fillet, depending on season) char grilled and served with smoked salmon & potato mash with taro leaves and lemon hollandaise

Seared Tuna, served rare, with a sesame coating, served on steamed coconut rice with fresh mango salsa

Island Fish Filo Parcel – fresh fish fillet of the day, baked in Filo with taro leaves and coconut cream, served with a tomato & basil sauce with wild rice and Julienne of steamed vegetables.

Vietnamese Tamarind Fish with tamarind, caramelized onion, chilli and coriander, served on steamed rice with relishes and chutneys.

Pacific Fish Curry with fresh fish fillets in a basil, lemongrass, chilli and coconut curry sauce, served on Basmati rice with assorted relishes and chutneys.

Breast of Chicken with a Apricot or Mango (in season), Mascaparone & Cashew nut filling served on a Milanese risotto cake with a Basil Pesto Cream

Tamarind Chicken Curry with tomatoes, tamarind, cumin, coriander and cream served on Basmati Rice with assorted relishes and chutneys

Tenderloin Rossini – tenderloin steak served with potato and kumara croquettes, steamed sesame green beans and a mushroom tamarind glaze.(cooked medium rare to medium only, not to individual request)

Loin of Lamb served with steamed steamed greens, potato & pumpkin mash with a red wine & port jus.

Open Bar Tab: You may choose from our wine list by the bottle, and have an open bar with a limit - normally best to choose a white and red wine, beers, juice and soft drinks only for your open bar tab.   Guests may then pay their own spirits and cocktails. 

Packages: You can choose one of the packages below - the packages below include our Tamarind Label wines produced by Lawsons Dry Hills Winery, New Zealand. Please feel free to discuss your budget with us.

These beverage packages are for a dinner reception, commencing once the guests sit down to dinner. Maximum 5 hours. Hourly Pre-Dinner Drinks packages can be arranged to suit your budget

Private, clean, comfortable and inexpensive holiday house, ideal for families or wedding groups.
Located at Matavera, just a 5 minute drive from Tamarind House

Minimum stay, one week.

Serviced weekly. Daily service can be arranged.
