Gold Package Wedding Details

 

Tamarind House is one of the most versatile and organized venues for all functions and special events for 2 - 100 people. This includes Weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries and Corporate Events.
The Restaurant, Bar, Garden, Beach Deck and Summer House all offer views of the Private Beach and Lagoon. Transport for wedding parties or groups staying at hotels, private accommodation, guest houses and rental homes anywhere on Rarotonga, is easy to arrange to the Tamarind for the perfect Wedding Reception in a private, exclusive and romantic location.

 

Functions are available on Monday - Saturday only Prices below valid until 31 December 2013.

Functions & Weddings
Whether your requirements are large or small, we are eager to accommodate you with an event that you will long remember. Tamarind House is a versatile venue offering five different areas to suit any occasion and budget.

Restaurant Dining:
For parties of 8 or less, please contact the restaurant direct from 9.00am to 9pm Monday to Saturday to make your booking. The Restaurant has intimate tables for 2 or tables for up to 8.

Bar
The comfortable bar area is popular for small cocktail or canape functions for up to 20 people.

 

 

 

 The Main Restaurant

The Main Restaurant is spread over two levels and overlooks a garden, the front deck, private beach and lagoon. The whole premises is included in the venue hire.    Suitable for larger parties of 40 - 100 people.

 

 

Larger Groups up to 200 : We can cater for larger groups by using a wedding marquee attached to the restaurant for up to an extra 100 guests.  Additional venue hire applies. Please enquire for rates for larger groups.

 

 

An area of the restaurant is set aside for pianist, DJ and dancing. Entertainment including Fire and Island Dancers is usually performed in the garden, weather permitting. The fee for Main Restaurant venue hire is $1500 Monday - Friday and $1700 for Saturdays.  This fee is included in the Gold Package below.

 Gold Package All Inclusive Wedding Dinner Reception with Entertainment: (This package is available for wedding groups over 45 pax in the main restaurant- for smaller groups, please enquire for options) (*excludes beverages)

1. 5 hour Dinner Reception

2  Dinner (your choice of buffet Option 1 or Evening Function Menu $70 (buffet recommended for groups larger than 50)

3. Venue hire of the main restaurant and set up with damask tableclothes and serviettes, glassware, votive candles, table  runners

4.  Entertainment: Choice of Island Dance Troupe with full show or Firedancers & Dance Troupe

5.  DJ & Sound System for the evening (Extra for Live Band)

Gold Package All Inclusive Price Per Head

70 - 100 pax:  $125.00 per head

50 - 70 pax:    $145.00 per head

45 - 50 pax:     $165.00 per head

V.I.P Veranda
The VIP area is a veranda wing in the main restaurant that seats 10 to 18 people and is a semi-enclosed area on the second level of the restaurant. It is favoured by smaller birthday and wedding parties. This area is adjacent to the evening pianist so we recommend if the client is having speeches reserving instead the more private Summer House. A deposit fee of $10.00 per head on estimated numbers is payable in advance for the VIP wing.  There is no venue hire fee for the VIP wing, but there is a $5.00 per head set up fee.

 

For groups larger than 12, we suggest contacting us for a set menu suggestion.

The Summer House is a private roofed deck with a bar overlooking the private beach and lagoon. This is a popular daytime venue for Corporate Meetings of up to 30 people. Evenings bring a backdrop of the setting sun and a venue for up to 35 seated for a set menu dinner or up to 70 people standing for cocktails. The Summer House is right on the beach. 

To reserve the Summer House from Monday - Friday, a minimum venue hire of $500 is required, $700.00 on Saturdays and Public Holidays. An additional $5.00 per head table set up fee is required for seated events. We do not offer our "a la carte menu" for groups larger than 16, but request that you choose one of the set function menus - see link below. There is a minimum per head spend for the Summer House.

Entertainment
There is a choice of various types of entertainment on the island which we can help you organize for your ceremony or reception.  The following options are available.  Prices are on request.

- Prices on request. If you have other theme menus and theme functions in mind, please let us know your request.

 

New: Now offering Champagne Breakfast Receptions with a choice of a fabulous breakfast Set Menu or Breakfast Buffet with 3 hours venue from 9a.m. till 12 noon in either the Main Restaurant or The Summer House.


Wedding Ceremony Package

 

Our wedding Ceremony package is suitable for weddings with guests standing for the ceremony. The ceremony is held on the beach deck, or in case of rain in the Summer House.

 

Price:
$1500.00: Weekdays.
$1700 : Saturdays. 
Ceremonies are available from 5.00 p.m. with guest arrival from 4.45 p.m.

 

 

Ceremony Package includes:
1. Ceremony on the Beach Deck overlooking the Lagoon
2. Marriage Celebrant
3. Advice on how to organize a Marriage License if advice required
4. Two large floral arrangements for the Ceremony
5. Bottle of Champagne for the Bride and Groom6.Registry table with linen and flowers

Does not include chairs for guests to sit, chair covers, bows, any other decor besides that specified above, entertainment, sounds systems, any times earlier than 5.00p.m.- ceremony includes exactly items 1.6 above.
